Flying Fox is a social network that builds connections between young people with and without disability. We believe that each and every individual should belong and should be afforded the opportunity to participate as equal members of the community.
We do this by providing person-centered, individualised care for every participant on our programs, and facilitating these awesome programs for people with a wide range of personalities and interests. We also strive to facilitate experiences that enable our participants’ growth in confidence and independence over their Flying Fox journey.
How To Get Involved

First, we’ll spend some quality time getting to know you.
Click the “Expression of Interest” to book in a video call with a friendly member of the Flying Fox team. You’ll also be directed to an Expression of Interest form to complete.
We'll find the best program for you
We’ll make sure you’re ready for our incredible experiences!
First, we’ll have a home visit to meet you and get to know you more. Then, we’ll ensure you’re allocated to a camp where you’ll be safe, happy & healthy. In the lead up to camp, there’ll be a Camper-Buddy Catch-Up where you’ll meet your Buddies (volunteers) & team leader to get you excited and ready for camp!

Once you’ve been on our camp, you’ll only want more! You’ll now have access to our other programs. These options include; weekly social activities, more and more getaways, as well as support from our wider community.

It’s really important to us that you have the best time ever! The initial call allow us to get to know you better and find the right program for you.
The truth is, you may never feel ‘ready’ because it can be a very daunting thing – at first!
However, we’re with you every step of the way and will work tirelessly to make sure you feel comfortable and confident going on your first program.
This is part of the reason for both the home visit and Camper-Buddy catch up prior to your first camp. This will allow you to get to know some of the people who you’ll be on camp with, and hopefully make you feel more excited for camp!
We work really hard with you and your family to ensure that we set you up with the right Buddies who will support all of your needs.
We can also work with you, your family and your support worker to ensure we know all that we need to in order to keep you feeling safe, happy and healthy.
